The internet thought it had discovered a new ARG from Valve teasing Left 4 Dead 3 this weekend. Unfortunately it seems to be a hoax.... or is it?! (Yes, it is)

As with most mad rumours the supposed tease for L4D3 was spotted on Reddit. If you go to the Left 4 Dead 2 website and click on the Facebook link, it doesn't bring you where its supposed to. Instead it's for a mostly empty page under the name "Ted Carson", a developer at Valve supposedly working on Left 4 Dead 3 according to a leak. The only other thing on the page was this exciting image:
Unfortunately Steam Database was quick to rain on everyone's parade:
Left 4 Dead 2's official page was taken down or removed, and someone has taken it over ~23 hours ago and uploaded an edited hand picture from the L4D1 trailer. The page had over a million of likes before, but now it is a personal page. pic.twitter.com/idOow8nE01

The Facebook page in question is registered to a gmail address. Either Valve are playing a suspicious ARG, or the Left 4 Dead 2 Blog was hacked and a fake Facebook page was put up.
As we started writing this, the Facebook page has been updated to include a picture of "The Left 4 Dead Card Game", which is as good an indication as you're going to get that this was just one big troll.
Oh well, we're sure we'll get Left 4 Dead 3 later this year anyway, right Valve?
... Valve?
