Radical Heights is the newest game from developer Boss Key and the man who made Gears of War a thing, Cliff Bleszinski. Unlike the failure that is LawBreakers, Radical Heights is free-to-play, and most importantly, it’s a Battle Royale game.
The game, in its current form, is still a problem in terms of performance, but that shouldn’t come as surprise since it’s in Early Access and may stay there for quite some time.
The good news is, however, that most players have mainly positive feelings, which should bode well for the future. Now, some players complained about the lack of female characters to choose from, and it didn’t take long for Cliff Bleszinski to respond, making it clear that female avatars are coming.
In a recent announcement on Twitter, Cliffy B released a photo of what the forthcoming female characters will look like. From the image, they are dressed in 80s attire.

We’re sure Boss Key aims to have more outfits for females soon, but it seems the current design may become the default for every player. Unfortunately, like the rest of the game, the female characters aren’t graphically impressive at all. We’re not expecting a lot of changes in graphical fidelity since Boss Key is likely interested in porting Radical Heights to mobile devices.
Epic has done this with Fortnite Battle Royale, and for the most part, the game looks identical to its console and PC counterparts. We can’t say the same for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds mobile port since the graphics fidelity on the PC and Xbox One versions are higher and more realistic.
Overall, Radical Heights should be a blast to play on mobile, more so on the Nintendo Switch if Boss Key feels the need to venture down that road. What do you think of the Female avatars?
