The Surge is one of the best action RPGs to hit consoles and the PC platform in recent years. The game is considered as a spiritual successor to Desk 13’s earlier title, Lords of the Fallen, primarily because both games share similar gameplay features.
After the release of several DLCs, Deck 13 has launched another in the form of new free weapons and armor. The DLC is called the Cutting Edge Pack, and not only will it deliver three new weapons and armor sets, but three new jumpsuits as well.
The three armor sets are called The Angel, Asclepius, and Nano Ward. All three are similar but unique in their own right. For example, The Angel brings to the table the ability to give its wearer faster attack speeds, harder impact on Codenamed weapons, and better energy gain.
Asclepius on the other hand, is more about regenerative powers, while Nano Ward relies on bleeding edge technology to deliver deadly explosions.
What about the weapons, chump?
Worry not, the weapons are just as good as the armors. One is called Engelhart, the other Dark Star, and finally, Last Aid.
The developers have stated that Dark Star has a unique containment field that will cause considerable harm to enemies. The Engelhart is viewed as boost tool that becomes hot anywhere, a true deadly machine that will wreck havoc on any enemy combatant.
Finally, it’s all about the BioN J-1, codenamed Last Aid. It’s a surgical tool that was originally designed for use in medical hospitals. These days, it’s causing carnage on the battlefield, and you’ll get the chance to use it.
“Once the DLC is installed you will find six fierce new enemies in Abandoned Production, Executive Forum, and Nucleus that must be defeated to acquire the new items,” according to a statement from Deck 13.
When is the Cutting Edge Pack available for download?
It’s up and running right now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. Now, we should point out that The Surge and its Complete Edition with all DLCs are available for up to 75 percent off on all platforms.
Good deal? Yes, good deal.
