Funcom announced today that developer Mighty Kingdom’s upcoming hack ‘n slasher Conan Chop Chop has had its release date put back to the second quarter of 2020. There is no firm date as yet for its release. The game was originally due to go on sale on February 25th, 2020 for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Steam and Xbox One.
Mighty Kingdom have stressed that the game is almost ready, but that further optimization for its online multiplayer components and the “chance to add some polish here and there” are still necessary.
Conan Chop Chop is pitched as a simple, light-hearted roguelite with plenty of enemies, loot and cartoon gore. Infinite replayability is promised thanks to randomised maps and lootdrops. It makes the bold claim that it is the “most realistic” stick figure Conan game ever made.
The game’s 2-4 player co-op modes are also emphasised, along with the ability for the player to select and outfit a wide variety of characters to suit individual playstyles. Exploration and a variety of quests and quest givers are also on offer.
Roguelite Conan Chop Chop has been delayed until some point in Q2 2020. At present, there are no further details concerning its precise release date. It is set to release on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Steam and Xbox One.
