Unheard is a game that is not afraid of experimenting with new ways of experiencing gameplay. Instead of being driven primarily by means of visual output, players enjoying Unheard will instead face sounds. Lots and lots of sounds.
Unheard is a detective game where players are going to have to solve various crime cases simply through using audio clues and dialogue that they have access to. This will force an innovative take on adventure gameplay, and thus make for an experience that we've not yet had the chance of checking out.
In Unheard, players will be taking the role of a so-called 'sound hunter', a futuristic detective with time-travel capabilities, albeit ones that almost entirely diminish the entirety of their sensory apparatus. Short of sound, that is.
It is through the use of sound that players will have to figure out just what the hell went down at each given crime scene through almost literally being the fly on the wall, building motives, characters, relationships, and more as they go along. In the end, the sound hunter will have to find out what is it that connects all of the cases featured in Unheard, and come out on top this way or the other.
Unheard is slated for release early next year, though developers have been pretty mum when it comes to giving us concrete release dates. Stay tuned for more info on Unheard in the future!
