Here’s everything we know about how to craft ammo and potions in A Plague Tale: Innocence, as well as all crafting options available to Amicia.
A Plague Tale: Innocence Crafting

Crafting in A Plague Tale: Innocence is fairly straightforward and easily accessible. Although she starts with just a basic sling and simple rocks as ammo, Amicia learns various alchemical recipes throughout her journey.
In order to craft these items, which end up playing fairly important roles in progressing, you’ll need to collect materials spread across the world. They usually come with a glow, so that they’re easier to spot. Sometimes, you can also loot materials off of fallen enemies.
When it comes to how to craft the different ammo types, you’ve two options. Crafting is available at any time, either through the weapon select wheel, which you bring up by holding TAB, or by pressing the I key and going to the first tab, appropriately labeled Crafting. From there, it’s only a matter of having the appropriate materials and holding the left mouse button until the bar is filled.
Here are all the crafting options available to Amicia:
- Ignifer (1 Rock, 1 Sulphur, 1 Water) - Ignites torches, braziers and flammable materials. Also stops rat clusters.
- Devorantis (1 Rock, 2 Saltpeter, 1 Water) - Heats up metal helmets, forcing enemies to remove them and render themselves vulnerable
- Odoris (1 Rock, 1 Sulphur, 1 Episanguis) - Makes rats swarm to the targeted area or individual, temporarily clearing the way.
- Extinguis (1 Rock, 1 Saltpeter, 1 Episanguis) - Extinguishes burning fires.
- Somnum (3 Sulphur, 4 Saltpeter, 4 Water, 1 Fabric) - Immediately puts the target to sleep. Can be used by sneaking up to enemies or as a last resort when nearly captured
- Luminosa (3 Sulphur, 4 Saltpeter, 4 Water, 1 Leather) - Creates an intense light source that eliminates rats.
