A Plague Tale: Requiem sees players braving the Bite’s messengers once more, as Amicia and Hugo de Rune continue to deal with the latter’s supernatural powers. If you’re eager to delve back into medieval times and see where the duo’s misadventures take them next, chances are you’re wondering about the game’s length and how long it takes to beat its story.
Having beaten A Plague Tale: Requiem for our review, I can say that you can spend a good chunk of time with its story, even if the title doesn’t make an objective out of taking up hundreds of hours to finish.
A Plague Tale: Requiem Length
A Plague Tale: Requiem’s length will vary a bit between players but, although it features a handful of semi-open areas and several collectibles to track down, it remains a mostly linear experience, which took me somewhere between 18 and 20 hours to finish.
This was without scouring its levels for every last bit of collectible, although I did spend a bit of time just running around its more open levels and taking in the gorgeous views they offered.

A few of its puzzles were a bit obtuse, at least at first, but never took too long to figure out. I did, however, spend a bit too much repeating a couple of its stealth sequences.
I played most of the title on normal difficulty, but these bits convinced me to lower it to Narrative, which renders Amicia unable to die when attacked by regular enemies.
It’s not foolproof, and bigger foes and hazards still kill you, but does help alleviate some frustration that can appear.
There’s a higher difficulty setting as well, and your choice will also impact A Plaguet Tale: Requiem’s length. Another thing that factors into this is New Game+, which unlocks once you beat the story.
To sum it up, your mileage may (somewhat) vary, but expecting A Plague Tale: Requiem’s length to clock in at somewhere between 18 and 20 hours for one non-completionist playthrough looks like a good bet.
