Age of Empires 4 is finally out, bringing the series out of its lengthy hiatus with a new set of campaigns and plenty of opportunity for multiplayer shenanigans. It’s pretty disappointing when you prepare for an evening on multiplayer matches only to find that maintenance or an unexpected issue makes sit difficult or outright impossible to connect to the game’s servers. Here’s what you need to know about AoE4’s server status, to avoid such situations.

Age of Empires 4 servers are currently online after having a few hiccups during the weekend. They, thankfully, didn’t last very long, so you should have no issue hopping on and showing other players who’s boss in multiplayer.
Age of Empires 4’s server status has been more stable during its launch weekend than that of some of its recent counterparts and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that things will continue to stay smooth going forward.
The real-time strategy game has seen a respectable number of players trying it out during its launch weekend, so it’s anything but lacking in popularity.
