The v.1006 Ankylosaurus update for 4X strategy title Age of Wonders: Planetfall is now live. A look at its patch notes shows a number of requested features introduced alongside a pretty expansive list of bug fixes and smaller balance changes.
As of its Ankylosaurus update, Age of Wonders: Planetfall saves the settings of the last played scenario. Even better, it does so separately for single player and multiplayer.

The v.1006 Ankylosaurus update also lets players save world settings into templates using Age of Wonders: Planetfall’s Advanced Setup option. Multiplayer enthusiasts will be able to kick players from their sessions, as well.
Managing city happiness is also a bit easier now, since the “share all” option will now sell all excess food for energy. This gives players a way to stop their cities’ growth.
The balance changes introduced in Age of Wonders: Planetfall’s Ankylosaurus update target a number of things. That being said, the Assembly received the first set of nerfs ahead of a larger balance update that’s set to arrive later.
Assimilate’s heal per hit was halved to 3 from its initial value of 6. The Vorpal Sniper’s Vorpal Shot now has a 15% critical bonus, down from 20% and deals 18 damage, down from 20.
Although its name might not suggest it, the v.1006 Ankylosaurus update brings a large number of changes to Age of Wonders: Planetfall. You can see them all by checking out the full patch notes.
