Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Tindalos Interactive have unveiled the pre-order trailer for upcoming real-time squad-based tactical action game Aliens: Dark Descent, giving us another look at its characters and foes.
Aliens: Dark Descent puts us in control of a squad of Colonial Marines that fights to contain a Xenomorph outbreak on Planet Lethe, discovering other dangers along the way.

The pre-order trailer alternates between short sequences of isometric real-time action, in which the four-man squad uses more or less explosive weaponry against various enemies, and close-ups of the characters that fuel its original storyline.
Xenomorphs naturally make their terrifying presence known, but we’ll also have to battle rogue Weyland-Yutani operatives, as well as a type of creature that’s new to the franchise.
The squad of four that we take into Alien: Dark Descent’s large open levels can be customized, selecting from soldiers belonging to 5 starting classes, which can later be specialized to fulfill different roles.
We’ll have access to an arsenal of weapons including the pulse rifle, sentry guns, flamers, and more, alongside armor, and perks.
Shortcuts also dot the game’s persistent world, helping increase the squad’s chances of survival.
As we face Lethe’s horrors, we’ll have to manage our soldiers’ health, resources, and sanity, as death is permanent.
Aliens: Dark Descent is due out on June 20, 2023, heading to PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4.
