Frictional Games today announced that upcoming first-person horror game Amnesia: The Bunker has locked in its release date to May.
Set during World War I, Amnesia: The Bunker puts players in the role of Henri Clement, a French soldier trapped inside an abandoned military bunker that’s hunted by a deadly creature.

Aside from this mysterious opponent, Henri will also have to survive the bunker itself, which the publisher describes as “a labyrinth of twists and turns, filled with traps and other hazards that threaten to end the soldier’s life at every turn.”
Psychological horror is very much at home in Amnesia: The Bunker, but players can also expect more freedom in terms of gameplay, thanks to the fourth entry’s sandbox horror survival setting.
The game’s environment is also unscripted which means that “objects, threats, and resources change with every playthrough.”
When they’re not evading the creature that stalks them, players solve puzzles and make their way forward using a variety of different tools, including gas grenades, explosives, and guns.
Amnesia: The Bunker’s release date is currently slated to occur on May 16, 2023, when it arrives on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. You can learn more about the game by visiting its Steam page.
