Here’s how to settle new islands in Anno 1800.
How To Settle New Island
In order to settle a new island in Anno 1800, you'll need to sail around and find one that's currently unsettled. Prior to deciding on one, you'll want to take into account a handful of factors such as its fertilities and positioning relative to your main city and your opponents.
As your ship approaches an unsettled island's beach, you'll notice that a trading post sihlouette will appear near its location. Clicking on it reveals the required resources to settle new islands in Anno 1800. You'll have to make sure that your ship is carrying 10 wooden planks and 8 steel beams.
You'll also need 2500 coins as well as a specific amount of influence. When you've all these resources, simply click on the sihlouette and build the trading post. That's how you settle a new island in Anno 1800. It's worth noting that you should load more wooden planks and other resources needed for basic construction, such as bricks, on your ship. Each island has its own resource and population pools, thus, in settling a new one, you're basically starting from scratch.
