Apex Legends is going to be getting new characters every once in a while, that much we know for sure, though following the game's surprise-release, there's not been much official word at all on when the first one is coming.
Apex Legends Octane is the name of the first new Legend coming to this genre-defining battle royale, and now it seems that their skillset has been leaked entirely. Read the info below to get up to speed!
What does Octane do in Apex Legends?
Described as a 'high-speed daredevil', Octane is going to be a somewhat selfish auto-heal character focused on both survivability and instant vertical mobility, depending on what you need at any given moment. Octane's passive, for example, is going to provide them with auto-healing whenever they're not taking damage.
Octane's active, on the other hand, will allow them to move 30% faster for 6 seconds, at the cost of 10% of their total health. The kicker is, however, that Octane is going to be impervious to any sort of slowing effects while his active skill is up!
Finally, Octane's ultimate skill is going to drop a deployable jump-pad that'll catapult any users high up - this is sure to come in handy during CQB engagements involving buildings and hills, as it'll allow for a different sort of out-manoeuvring than we're used to.
Other leaks include a list of what looks to be future Apex Legends characters, with name such as Prophet, Skunner, Crypto, and Nomad. What they are, though, we haven't a clue. Yet!
