Apex Legends seems to have its own version of the legendary Model 1887 lever-action sniper-shotgun that fans of the original version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will recall with glee and/or horror, depending on which end of it they used to be at. It's called the Apex Legends Peacekeeper.
Apex Legends Peacekeeper nerf is what fans have been calling for after coming to realise just how powerful the game's futuristic lever-action shotgun is, even at incredible ranges! Though fairly realistic, this is also altogether overpowered, and fans are having none of that.
Is an Apex Legends Peacekeeper Nerf Coming?
The Apex Legends Peacekeeper problem isn't necessarily in how the gun itself performs by default. We're talking about a twin-loaded lever-action shotgun that's fairly reliable and solid on its own. The issue arises when you combine Peacekeeper's considerable effective range with the Precision Choke barrel extension.
Combining the Peacekeeper with Precision Choke allows you to one-shot other players at what some could consider an unfair distance; especially for a shotgun. This has made people angry, and the community at large wishes for the developer to rebalance this weapon somehow.
Now, it remains to be seen how Respawn, the developers, will tackle this problem. Obviously, some sort of response from the makers of Apex Legends is necessary, but the Peacekeeper must also not be made redundant with the potential rework of the weapon. Stay tuned for dev comments as they are published.
