Indeed, ARK: Extinction's map is a fully-fledged cityscape, filled with kaiju-sized monstrosities, an abundance of new tech and creatures to harness, and what looks to be a sort of a mutation or disease corrupting and transforming the creatures we've come to know from previous iterations of ARK.
ARK: Extinction's most exciting addition, however, may well be the pilotable mechs - a key addition that will help in taking down aforementioned Titans. At least, they should, once you arm them with proper weaponry and armour, which you will have to equip anyway, if you want to explore the dangerous new biomes.
Some of the other additions worth a mention are the creature leash and taxidermy tools, which will allow you to control where your pets are located, and turn your kills into trophies respectively, while the Tek bridge will allow you to traverse previously impassable chasms and crevices.
Players have taken a liking to Extinction, it would seem, what with its 'very positive' Steam rating, which is an improvement over ARK's previous DLC releases. ARK: Extinction can be purchased for €16,79, and it doesn't require any other expansion packs for it to work.
