ARMA 3: Contact is what happens when someone decides that they need a proper, fully-fledged alien invasion mil-sim that doesn't cut corners virtually anywhere. ARMA 3 is, then, going to take a plunge into the science-fiction territory. Are we ready for that?
While 'aliens in ARMA' sounds like the inevitable outcome of an overly-bored modding community, Contact will, instead, be a fully-fledged official expansion pack for the legendary mil-sim, featuring an abundance of new content and an exciting new scenario. Even the trailer is quite chilling.
Featuring a massive new singleplayer campaign (First Contact, aptly enough) set on an all-new Livonia map, stretching across 163 km2, ARMA 3: Contact will also introduce two major new factions: Livonian Defense Force and the Russian Spetsnaz. Coming with them are 5 interesting new weapons, such as the Promet Assault Rifle and the Kozlice Shotgun, as well as a driveable tractor.
Lots of new sci-fi inspired tech is coming with Contact as well, including the Spectrum Device, CBRN apparel - which is what we'll seemingly be wearing for the duration of the campaign - and, of course, the tinfoil hat.
Various new multiplayer scenarios are set to come out with Contact too, making this one of the most exciting content expansions ARMA has ever had. Excited about the prospect of facing off against aliens in ARMA? We sure are!
