Is it better to kill or spare Leofrith in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla? What do both choices lead to after the boss battle?
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Leofrith boss battle is part of the Ledecestrescire story arc, and deciding between killing or sparing him does end up having an impact on the game going forward.
However, you won’t find many signs to point toward which of the two choices is better for you. That’s what we aim to clear up in this guide. Just keep in mind that spoilers follow below.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla Leofrith Boss Battle Kill or Spare
Once you’ve bested Leofrith in battle, AC Valhalla lets you choose between killing or sparing him. It might be tempting to give the man an honorable death, but that can make things more difficult for yourself.
Telling Leofrith to pray to his God will lead to Eivor killing him. This, in turn, will make Zealots take a more active role in hunting Eivor down while also attacking the protagonist on sight.
Sparing Leofrith by informing him that Burgred abandoned him is the more rewarding option. He’ll tell you about a statue in Venonis that holds a bowl.
Inside the bowl is a scroll with Eivor’s name that marks him as a target for the Zealots. This not only succesfully completes Leofrith’s quest but also unlocks Hunted, a new quest during which Eivor can burn the scroll.
Doing that results in the Zealots no longer actively hunting you. While this could be seen as the better choice between killing or sparing Leofrith in AC Valhalla, ending his life can make the game more challenging, which might be appealing to some.
