Publisher Warner Bros and developer Turtle Rock Studios are gearing up for the very first Back 4 Blood closed alpha which will give lucky players their first chance at battling the Ridden.
A co-op first-person shooter in the vein of Left 4 Dead, Back 4 Blood puts a team of four players through a gauntlet of zombies, some bigger and considerably nastier than others. But when does the closed alpha begin and end? Quite soon, as it turns out.
Back 4 Blood Closed Alpha Start and End Dates
The Back 4 Blood closed alpha start date is scheduled for Thursday, December 17 at 11 AM PST/7 PM GMT, with its end date locked down to Monday, December 21.
Back 4 Blood alpha sign-ups are already. The closed alpha will showcase one early mission from the campaign.
It also introduces four of the eight playable human characters, known as Cleaners: Walker, Holly, Evangelo, and Hoffman.
Each Cleaner’s personality is different, just like their preferences in terms of secondary weapons. Their character perks further differentiate between them.
Players will get to unload lots of bullets into regular Ridden, while also having to deal with four stronger types of monsters: the agile four-armed Stinger, bulky Retch, Tall Boy, and massive Ogre.
You can register for the Back 4 Blood closed alpha on the game’s official website, to get a chance at securing your spot when it begins.
You need only enter your email, although it’s worth keeping in mind that the first alpha seems to be PC-only through Steam. You can find the minimum system requirements below.

Should you be lucky enough to receive a Back 4 Blood closed alpha code after registering, here’s the process of redeeming it, as detailed by publisher Warner Bros.:
Activating Back 4 Blood closed alpha code:
- Go to Back4Blood.com
- Click “Log-in” in the top right corner to create or access your WB Games Account.
- Once you’re signed in click on “Account Settings” then enter your code.
- This should provide you with a Steam code for the Alpha.
Activatinging a Steam code:
- Launch the Steam client software and log into your Steam account.
- Click the Games Menu.
- Choose Activate a Product on Steam.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.
Back 4 Blood is slated to launch on June 22, 2021 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4.
