Does Baldur’s Gate 3 have a hide helmet option? Can you choose to not see your character’s headgear during cutscenes, dialogue and gameplay?
Although purely cosmetic in nature, Baldur’s Gate 3’s hide helmet option is one that fans are wondering about.
Many other RPGs feature it, including Larian Studios’ own Divinity: Original Sin 2. Players use it when they want to see their party’s faces during conversation or when the bucket that grants the perfect stats doesn’t quite fit their characters’ fashion sense.
Baldur's Gate 3 Hide Helmet
Sadly, Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t yet feature a hide helmet option. At the moment, you have to manually uneqip headgear or make do without with an empty slot if you fancy seeing your characters’ faces.
The lack of a hide helmet option is likely due to Baldur’s Gate 3 barely launching into Early Access not so long ago.
Developer Larian Studios prioritized fixing crashes in the first two post-launch hotfixes. This, of course, doesn’t exclude the possibility of Baldur’s Gate 3 players getting the choice of hiding helmets in the future.
We’ll keep an eye out and update this article as soon as we learn more about the feature. In the meantime, check out our guide covering the solution to the Defiled Temple puzzle.
