Developer Pathos Interactive and publisher 2tainment GmbH have announced that their upcoming real-time strategy game, Bannermen, will release on PC on February 21.
Set in the “semi-fantasy medieval realm of Valtoria”, Bannermen mixes classic RTS elements, such as base building, unit and map control, with environmental magic. Each map offers “unique nature powers”, which are essentially spells that you can use against the enemy. In order to gain access to them, players need to build temples at specific points on the map.
Bannermen will include a story-driven single-player campaign as well as, AI skrimish, online ranked and unranked play and custom modes. Its maps will support up to 8 players.
“Having suffered a crushing defeat in the Battle of Beckron, you, Lord Berrian must now regain former bannermen that have surrendered to Lord Karthor. The days of chasing glory are over, as terror spreads and forces ever greater sacrifices to hold Lord Karthor’s men at bay. Without a home and much time to spare, you must travel the vast lands of Valtoria to obtain supplies and convert soldiers to your righteous cause.”, is how the game’s Steam page describe the events that lead up to the campaign’s start.
The launch date announcement coincides with the release of the Bannermen Campaign Trailer, which you can watch below.
