Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Dice have revealed the start and end dates of Battlefield 2042’s open beta, as promised earlier this month, when they announced the title’s delay.
Players will get their first taste of Battlefield 2042’s 128-player Conquest mode in early October, when the Open Beta’s start and end dates are scheduled. The test is split into two periods, players who pre-order the game or are subscribed to EA Play getting the most out of it. Read on below for a full breakdown.
The Open Beta will take players across the game’s Orbital map. Set in Kourou, French Guiana, its highlight is the massive rocket that’s preparing to take off as US and Russian forces battle around it.
4 specialists will be available during BF2042’s Open Beta: Webster Mackay, Maria Falck, Pyotr “Boris” Guskovsky, and Wikus “Casper” van Daele. Players on all platforms can pre-load the client starting with October 5 at 12 AM PT/8 AM BST, but not everyone will be able to play right away.
- Battlefield 2042 Early Access Open Beta Start Date: October 6
- Battlefield 2042 Early Access Open Beta End Date: October 7
- Battlefield 2042 Open Beta Start Date: October 8
- Battlefield 2042 Open Beta End Date: October 9
Anyone who’s pre-ordered the first-person shooter or is subscribed to EA Play can play during the beta’s Early Access phase, which lasts between October 6 and October 7.
Battlefield 2042’s Open Beta will be accessible to all players, regardless if you’ve pre-ordered or not, starting with October 8 and lasting until October 9. While not the longest test out there, this should give you a better idea of how the game plays and whether or not it scratches your multiplayer itch.
