It’s not always easy to find the resources you need in Breathedge. In between your limited oxygen supply, the large amount of wreckage spread everywhere, and radiation or low temperatures, you can end up float just past that Wire you’re desperately looking for.
Breathedge tasks you with finding Wire from early on, as it’s used in crafting quite a few useful items. But while there’s quite a bit of it very close to your safe spot, it took us a while to figure out what we need to look for.
That’s mostly the trick: knowing how it looks. Wire is usually found at the end of beams in the wreckage you explore throughout Breathedge. While it’s true that not every beam will have it, it usually sticks out in a rather conspicuous manner, as shown in the screenshots above.
When you get near it, you can extract the wiring by simply using your hands, so you won’t have to bother about decreasing your tools’ durability. As you start, you can find Breathedge Wire if you make a left just as you head out, in the pile of wreckage with the two people playing videogames before the Big TV turned their heads to mush.
You can also float just across from your starting point and keep an eye out for beams that stick out. Once you grab a few pieces of wire, you shouldn’t have trouble finding it as you move on to new portions of the game.
You may also get it from certain electrical appliances but, in that case, you will have to smack stuff with your Handy Scrapper. Then again, that doesn’t take long until it becomes second nature, so, again, paying attention to what’s floating around you is key.
Breathedge is out now on PC.
