Cadence of Hyrule is now out, and though it's only been released on Switch, it's quickly been gaining in popularity. And for good reason, too, as it's the follow-up to Crypt of the Necrodancer - one of the best indie games ever made.
There's an abundance of puzzles and quests to go through in Cadence of Hyrule, and it just so happens that the Lost Woods puzzle might be giving you some trouble. For that purpose, we've assembled a short guide for you to reference, as well as a treat at the end of the article.
Cadence of Hyrule Lost Woods - Dowser Guide
The Lost Woods region is a mainstay in any Zelda game, and Cadence of Hyrule is no different. To get through, you might need a bit of a helping hand, though. First things first, when you reach the area, and clear out all of the enemies present in the first screen, go down.
The leftmost screenshot shown above is what you'll see then. Just go into the large tree stump to start with. Inside, Tingle is asleep, which is obviously no good. This is the puzzle - you're going to have to wake him up! Go up to reach the statue in the upper left corner of the screen, and soon you'll trigger this screen's musical element.
All you need to do here is move according to the beat shown on the right part of the screen, and hit the right D-PAD button when the note reaches the golden triangle. Do keep in mind that messing up will reset the puzzle, which means you'll have to be at least somewhat precise in mimicking the rhythm.
When the song is completed, Tingle will wake up and give you the Dowser you need to proceed. Starting at the screen with the tree stump, you need to through the following screens to leave the Lost Woods:
- right
- down
- right
- up
That'll lead you all the way to the Lost Swamp!
If you're in the mood for some music, though, look no further than what we've got below - the official Lost Woods soundtrack for Cadence of Hyrule! Enjoy.
