Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, on the verge of its release for PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5, prompts an important question: will it support crossplay? Slated to launch on November 10th, MW3 will include various multiplayer modes that would undeniably benefit from some form of crossplay support.
Many modern games are capable of supporting cross-platform play across all platforms, and we remain optimistic that Modern Warfare 3 will include this feature when it launches.
Is Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 going to support Crossplay?
With COD: MW3 only recently revealed, there has been no official confirmation from Activision yet, but since most previous Call of Duty games have featured crossplay support in some capacity, we would expect it to be available at launch across all platforms. It would be quite a shock if crossplay wasn’t available for 2023’s Call of Duty.
Activision has publicly stated in the past that it intends to integrate future Call of Duty games with its free-to-play battle royale game, COD: Warzone, including the mobile version. This leads us to believe that crossplay is likely to be a given feature.
We may find out more later today when Activision releases the Makarov Reveal Trailer, so stay tuned.
