Call of Duty Modern Warfare is, according to the latest information, set to be revealed by the end of next week, and if our sources are right, it's going to be a proper return to form for this offshoot of the franchise.
Sources say that this year's Call of Duty release will, indeed, be a Modern Warfare title, but it's not going to be 'Modern Warfare 4'. Instead, it's just Modern Warfare, because apparently neither Modern Warfare (2007) nor Modern Warfare Remastered ever happened.
In any case, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) is, according to sources, going to be revealed next Thursday, on the 30th of May. As its title might suggest, this will not be a science-fiction offering, nor will it be a take on some type of historical combat. Instead, what we're supposedly getting is a grounded contemporary shooter with modern-day terror-threats as its big bad.
This information has supposedly been corroborated by various sources, but you know how it is with these things - keep a pinch of salt at hand in case it's a big nothingburger.
With the supposed announcement so close, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if some concrete information on this Modern Warfare title got leaked ahead - we'll keep you posted in case something interesting pops up. In the meantime, let's see what happens next Thursday.
