Like other competitive shooters, getting an FPS boost in Call of Duty: Warzone can make a difference when looking to efficiently eliminate opponents.
At the same time, increasing FPS is something players with low-spec machines are likely wondering about. Here are some tips to help with getting an FPS boost in Call of Duty: Warzone and increasing framerate on low-spec machines.
Call of Duty: Warzone FPS Boost
A good way to make sure you FPS doesn’t suffer in Call of Duty: Warzone is to install the latest available driver. Nvidia’s 442.59 drivers were specifically made with Warzone in mind, however, AMD doesn’t seem to have released new drivers to accompany the battle royale’s release.
With drivers sorted, the best way to ensure you get an FPS boost or increase your framerate on low-spec machines is to fiddle with Call of Duty: Warzone’s settings.
Ray tracing, ambient occlusion and shadow map resolution should be among the first settings you try lowering to get an FPS boost. Screen space reflection and tesselation should be next.
If you want to push things further and don’t mind a drop in quality, lowering Call of Duty: Warzone’s texture resolution and anisotropic filtering will also result in increased FPS.
As PC builds tend to have many different variables, you might have to change some other settings around, including picking fullscreen over borderless and vice versa.
Call of Duty: Warzone is free-to-play and out now on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
