Team size is an important factor in battle royale titles, essentially determining how matches flow, and things are no different for Call of Duty: Warzone.
But what is Call of Duty: Warzone’s team size and will you be able to play solo? Here’s everything you need to know.
Call of Duty: Warzone Team Size
At launch, Call of Duty: Warzone will only feature trios, meaning that you won’t be able to play with a team size higher or lower than three.
A team of three means that there’s still hope of returning from getting down or even dying, as Call of Duty: Warzone lets players revive others for a cost at buy stations.
While Call of Duty Warzone’s team size is locked at three players, there will be instances when you’ll find yourself alone, even outside being the last surviving member of a team.
You’ll be able to drop in on your own if you really want to test your luck, although facing a full team of three by yourself isn’t the easiest thing to do.
Call of Duty: Warzone also has another instance which gives players a brief taste of solo play. When you’re downed for the first time, you’re sent to the Gulag.
There, downed players engage in 1v1 fights, the victor getting to redeploy in Warzone’s map proper.
Call of Duty: Warzone, like other battle royales, will likely evolve over time, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see other team sizes being introduced further down the line, whether through limited-time modes or as permanent features.
Call of Duty: Warzone is free-to-play and set to launch later today on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
