CD Projekt Red is having a strategy call today, and several members of staff are hinting at something of interest being revealed there.
A Reddit user claims we’ll see a rather imminent release of an upgraded version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition, but there’s nothing concrete on that actually being what this is about. For one thing, the revival of Cyberpunk 2077 may have changed the future plans for that game.
Still, at a recent investor call, the company did reiterate it was seeking a Q4 2022 release for the update of the multiple 2015 Game of the Year Award winner, so a surprise launch isn’t completely out of the question.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition release soon?
It would be easy to just ignore this strategy call and expect little meat from it, but it’s definitely intriguing that several members of CD Projekt Red staff are getting a tad excited about it in such a public way.

The company has gained some momentum with a recent update to Cyberpunk 2077 and the success of its animated Netflix show Edgerunners, driving it. So delivering more good news would certainly paint it in a much better light than it had been after the frankly disastrous launch of that game.
