Medieval first-person slasher Chivalry 2 will host a public play test for its new Brawl mode ahead of its launch next week, publisher Tripwire Presents and developer Torn Banner studios announcing not just its date but also its start and end times.
Chivalry 2’s Brawl Mode play test will kick off later today, October 22, its start time being locked down for 11 AM PDT/2 PM EDT/7 PM BST. Its end time rolls by at 9 PM PDT/12 AM EDT/5 AM BST, giving players 10 whole hours to try out the mode before it becomes part of the game’s official rotation.
Chivalry 2’s Brawl mode play test will feature two maps –The Great Hall & Rudhelm Feast – that support up to 40 players.
The mode tries to capture “the chaos and scrappiness of a tavern fight,” which means that players will fight with whatever they find around them, including “chairs, bottles, and food,” rather than the shiny arsenal they’ve been used to since launch.
