Civilization VI: Gathering Storm's first officially confirmed new civ is none other than Hungary, led by its 15th century ruler, Matthias Corvinus.
How the Hungarian civilization contends with natural disasters, as per their prominent role in Gathering Storm, remains to be seen, but their new abilities, units, and buildings are definitely a welcome addition to the already impressive repertoire of Civilization VI!
According to the new trailer which provides a rough overview of what makes Hungary special, and which you can reference down below, Corvinus is going to be heading his civ with some situational, albeit interesting abilities. Pearl of the Danube, for example, allows players to build districts and buildings faster if they're across a river from the city itself. Beware of floods, however.
The unique Hungarian building is the Thermal Bath, replacing the zoo, and providing both amenities and production to every city in its given range. Should a geothermal fissure appear within the city borders, building Thermal Bath over it will produce even more amenities, and tourism!
Hungary will also get two unique units to add to their military: the Hussar, which gets a combat bonus from each active alliance, and the Black Army, which gets a combat bonus from adjacent levied units. Civilization VI: Gathering Storm is slated for release on February 14!
