Publisher and developer Matrix Games has announced that Combat Mission: Final Blitzkrieg, the concluding chapter in its World War II strategy franchise, is heading to Steam on January 25, 2023.
The title explores the late phase of the war, as the Western Allies fight to penetrate the German border. Its two campaigns follow the American forces as they push to secure Aachen and Kampfgruppe Peiper’s attempt to pierce Allied lines.
On the same day, the previously unreleased Combat Mission: Downfall DLC will also make its debut, allowing us to command late-war British, Canadian and Polish forces across three campaigns comprised of a total of twenty-four missions.
In addition, the DLC adds ten standalone scenarios alongside “dozens” of new Quick Battle maps.
Until January 22, 2023, a Combat Mission franchise sale is active on Steam, slashing the prices of several games and their DLCs by up to 50%. Fortress Italy, Shock Force 2, and Battle for Normandy count among those benefitting from the highest discounts.
