Creating a new faith or title in Crusader Kings 3 can easily become pivotal moments during a playthrough, granting your ruler newfound power or getting you closer to having a kingdom of frolicking, warmongering nudists. But while you can tweak many aspects of your faith, you currently cannot pick its color.
In a dev diary released today, Paradox revealed that CK3’s upcoming expansion, Royal Court, will change this, giving you the power to select your newly created faith, title, or culture’s color. Additionally, the game’s smaller Update 1.4.4 is now live, fixing a handful of things.
“No longer will you have to settle on the colour the game picks for you when creating a custom kingdom or empire! Especially when that colour turns out to be neon pink,” reads the dev diary.
“You can edit the colour for any title you hold or is held by your vassals, similar to how you are allowed to edit the name & adjective for titles in your realm. Yes, this means that you can make your vassal lands sport a cavalcade of colour if you so desire!”
Although it might not be the upcoming expansion biggest feature, it’s a welcome change that will add more flavor and potentially make the in-game map slightly prettier. It’s also hard to argue against giving players more customization options, even with Crusader Kings 3 doing quite a bit of that already.
The dev diaries coming over the next five of weeks “won’t be as meaty as the ones that came before,” since the developer is going on summer vacation, but will still tease upcoming additions. Crusader Kings 3’s smaller Update 1.4.4 also went live today and you can check out its full list of changes in the patch notes below:
