Crusader Kings 3’s modding scene was off to a strong start as early as launch, especially thanks to total overhaul mods like The Bronze Age: Maryannu.
Featuring a custom-made map that includes the Near East and Aegean “in extreme detail” and reflects the older period it covers, The Bronze Age: Maryannu mod lets players choose between two start dates: 2115 or 1590 BCE.
Players can pick characters from multiple civilizations like the Minoans, Mycenaeans, Hittities, Akkadians or Assyrians and see how well their medieval survival skills apply in the Bronze Age.
Crusader Kings 3 The Bronze Age: Maryannu Mod
Although it’s still at its first iterations, The Bronze Age: Maryannu mod overhauls Crusader Kings III’s buildings system, making them better fit their era and add a focus on urbanization.
The mod also expands the game’s religious Tenets systems with more period-appropriate choices such as Pharaohs, Oracles or Sumerian Mythology.
The addition of infanticide is meant to reflect the cruelties of the time, while innovations like Composite Bows and Writing are driven by exposure and need to first be encountered before researching them.
The team behind Crusader Kings III’s The Bronze Age: Maryannu mod aims names more mechanics, clothes, and innovations as part of their list of future additions.
