Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury is the name of the next big expansion pack that's coming out soon for the modern classic that is Crusader Kings II. As its name might suggest, Holy Fury will allow players to take up cold steel in order to initiate a religious crusade all of their own.
In concrete terms, Holy Fury will revamp Paganism and how it works in practical gameplay, so that Pagan rulers who, for example, reform their religion instead of converting get a chance to design their new Reformed Paganism from the ground up.
Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury will include an abundance of new features and content, including but not limited to new world generation options, Warrior Lodges, legendary hero bloodlines, sainthood, new succession laws, new Crusade events, and lots more.
Paradox have also found a partner in crime in Pagan Fury. This neo-folk-metal band has impressed Paradox so much with their fervor that they've been named the Official Rock Band of Crusader Kings II. How this will relate to the game in moment-to-moment gameplay, we do not know (it likely won't), but no one's going to be opposed to a more dynamic soundtrack if push comes to shove...
Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury is set to come out on 13th of November, and will cost €19,99. In fact, the expansion is already available via Steam, if you're looking to get a preorder in. Even if you don't, however, Holy Fury will be accompanied by a free content update to the base Crusader Kings II experience.
