Publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer Indoor Astronauts have unveiled their upcoming project, Unrailed! earlier today.
Described as a “rapid railroad building roguelike multiplayer game”, Unrailed! puts players in the role of track constructors who must make sure that an unstoppable train succesfully reaches its destination.
Unrailed! puts an emphasis on co-operation and competition, being a “pure multiplayer experience”. It will include both local and online multiplayer, an endless mode, as well as a versus mode.
Players must cooperate in placing down tracks to accomodate the train’s passage across Unrailed!’s procedurally generated maps.
Aside from various obstacled and “gluttonous camels” that aim to hinder players, the maps’ inhabitants can offer quests, although not always with the best of intentions in mind.
Unrailed! is scheduled to enter Early Access on PC later this summer, although we don’t yet know if that means we’ll see it on Steam, the Epic Games Store or both. You can see it in action on its website or in the teaser trailer below.
