When it comes to content, Dead by Daylight is far from running out of ideas with events, new characters, frequent balancing changes, visual updates, and other quality-of-life updates constantly improving the game. The 28th chapter and Twisted Masquerade Event that has recently ended have done a great job keeping players occupied for the time being, but some can’t help but look forward to what the game has in store next.
We know that Nicholas Cage will be strutting into the fog soon as a survivor-only chapter, but the question after that is, when will Dead by Daylight Chapter 29 be released? Rumours say it’s going to be a big one, and here’s everything we know so far.
Dead by Daylight Chapter 29 Release Date
As per the Year 8 Roadmap, DBD Chapter 29 will be released in August 2023, following Nicholas Cage’s launch as a standalone survivor in July 2023. If everything goes to plan, it’s also likely that the PTB will be available around August 2023.

From the information surfacing in the community forums, it seems the 29th chapter will feature Five Nights at Freddy’s characters. This is likely since Dead by Daylight will welcome two licensed chapters into the fog. However, since Behaviour hasn’t howcased anything for the 29th chapter, do take this information with a grain of salt.
Rumours aside, given that the latest Five Nights at Freddy’s movie is releasing on October 27, 2023, it would also make sense that the next chapter would be related to this franchise. It’s similar to when the Stranger Things chapter was first released a few years back.
