Dead by Daylight’s chapter 30 release date ushers the arrival of Chucky, the latest horror icon to enter the Fog. The ruthless killer doll will be gracing our screens fairly soon, bringing with him a deadly arsenal and one unsettling smile.
DbD’s chapter 30 release date also marks a first for the asymmetrical horror game, as its newest killer uses a third-person camera, replacing the first-person perspective players who enjoy the role have been familiar with up until this point.
Dead By Daylight Chapter 30 Release Date
Dead by Daylight’s Chapter 30 has locked down its release date to November 28, 2023, which is when Chucky becomes playable.
- Dead by Daylight Chapter 30 release date: November 28, 2023
DbD’s version of Chucky will be voiced by Brad Dourif, the character’s original voice actor. In addition, one of the outfits the killer can use is none other than The Good Gal, inspired by Tiffany Valentine, or the Bride of Chucky, who is voiced by Jennifer Tilly.
The killer first became playable on the PTB, where players could try out his kit and provide feedback on the upcoming patch 7.4.0.
Chucky’s killer power, The Good Guy, allows him to switch between Normal Mode and Hidey-Ho Mode. The latter removes his Terror Radius while “‘distraction’ footprints and audio are spawned all across the map.”
Hidey-Ho Mode also enables the use of a special attack named Slice & Dice. Charged by pressing and holding its dedicated button, it sees the killer sprinting forward at high speed and triggering an attack at the end of its duration or when the button is released.
Scamper is another special ability available in Hidey-Ho Mode, enabling Chucky to quickly scamper through a vault or pallet without breaking it.
On top of these abilities, DbD’s Chucky has the following three perks, as present on the PTB:
Hex: Two Can Play
- Anytime you are stunned or blinded by a Survivor 4/3/2 times, if there is no Hex Totem associated with this Perk, a Dull Totem becomes a Hex Totem. While the Hex Totem stands, Survivors who stun or blind you get blinded for 1.5 seconds.
Friends ‘Til the End
- When you hook a Survivor that is not the Obsession, the Obsession becomes exposed for 20 seconds and reveals their aura for 6/8/10 seconds. When you hook the Obsession, another random Survivor screams and reveals their position and becomes the Obsession.
Batteries Included
- When within 12 meters of a completed Generator, you have 5% Haste. The movement speed bonus lingers for 1/3/5 seconds when you are no longer in range.
The values above may change in the lead-up to release, as can other aspects on the PTB, but should nevertheless provide a good picture of what to expect from the title’s newest killer.
Chucky will seemingly not be paired with a survivor character when DbD’s Chapter 30 release date occurs.
The update will also skip adding a new map, although Mother’s Dwelling and The Temple of Purgation of the Red Forest Realm will have their size reduced in size. Improvements are also coming to The Garden of Joy map.
