Dead Island 2 is not only launching in 2023 but will continue delivering content after it’s out, thanks to its now-confirmed expansion pass.
Dead Island 2’s expansion pass doesn’t attempt to reinvent the concept that has now become industry standard, offering players who purchase it additional adventures to go on. Below, we cover what we currently know about its content and which editions of the game include it.
Dead Island 2 Expansion Pass
Although publisher Deep Silver hasn’t shared specifics about Dead Island 2’s expansion pass, we do know that it comes with “two brand new chapters of the main story,” thanks to its description on the official Xbox website.
They are set to launch at some point after the base game’s release, “featuring new missions, foes, weapons, abilities and areas of HELL-A to explore.”
Currently, Dead Island 2’s expansion pass can only be obtained by purchasing the Gold or HELL-A editions of the game. It cannot be bought separately, although that might change at some point after release.
That is what we currently know about the paid post-launch content coming to the first-person zombie game. For more on Dambuster Studios’ latest title, give our articles covering GeForce Now and Xbox Game Pass support a look.
