Publisher and developer Branching Narrative is set to release its debut title, Deathtrap Dungeon: The Interactive Video Adventure, later today.
Headed to PC and Mac, Deathtrap Dungeon: The Interactive Video Adventure is a new take on Ian Livingstone’s classic 1984 Fighting Fantasy book.
Deathtrap Dungeon: The Interactive Video Adventure Launch
Narrated by British actor Eddie Marsan, known for projects like Deadpool 2 and Ray Donovan, the game sees players attempting to survive the Trial of Champions taking place in the labyrinth of Fang, which the evil Baron Sukumivt has filled with traps and deadly creatures.
“Branching Narrative’s Deathtrap Dungeon: The Interactive Video Adventure is delivered as a high quality video stream with Eddie Marsan prompting the player to make choices and direct the flow, offering enhanced gameplay over other recent high-profile ‘interactive movie’ offerings, fully utilising the mechanics from the classic Fighting Fantasy book.”, reads an official blurb.
The title features nearly 5 hours of video that’s quite atmospheric, judging by the video below. You can find Deathtrap Dungeon: The Interactive Video Adventure on Steam.
