Let it Die may not be the most fondly remembered game ever made, but it did well enough to earn another game in its universe, the online free-to-play action title Deathverse: Let it Die. In this game, 16 players compete in an absurdly violent game show called Death Jamboree where they must murder each other in order to win.
Players have to not only contend with each other, but also with AI-controlled hunters and an assortment of cryptids vying for their blood on the battlefield. It’s an interesting setup for a new multiplayer title, but crossplay is surely needed to get the widest possible audience.
Does Deathverse: Let it Die have Crossplay Support?
The original Let it Die came to PC in 2018, and garnered positive reviews. it saw players in a violent race to the top of a tower, and this fresh take on PvP survival action made plenty of friends without ever really blowing up. That game unfortunately did not feature crossplay between PS4 and PC, with separate servers for both.
So does Deathverse: Let it Die rectify this crossplay issue? Well, despite launching with an extra platform in PS5, it seems the news will be a lot more positive regarding crossplay. Just not right now.
Developer Supertrick Games has stated that it will update Deathverse: Let it Die in the future to not only add HDR support, accessibility features, and replay recording, but also crossplay between PlayStation Network and Steam players. When that will be is still an uncertainty, but it’s no doubt a relief for players to hear crossplay is part of Deathverse: Let it Die’s future.
Deathverse: Let it Die is out now on Steam, PS4, and PS5.
