Not content with winning hearts and minds with its FPS mining game Deep Rock Galactic, Ghost Ship Games is heading into the world of publishing.
The Danish developer, acquired by Embracer Group in 2021, has revealed Ghost Ship Publishing with the intent of growing the industry in its native land and also helping indies beyond its shores. Ghost Ship Games’ CEO Soren Lundgaard said as much in the press release announcing the publishing arm.
“Becoming a publisher is a way for us to give a bit back to the industry, and to help lift up both the Danish gaming scene and other small developers like ourselves across the globe”.
Mikkel Martin Pedersen, CCO of Ghost Ship Games continues: “Starting a publishing company is a natural next step for Ghost Ship. We love games and the success of Deep Rock Galactic has now enabled us to help other developers create theirs. We can’t wait to get started.”
The first slate of titles under the Ghost Ship Publishing arm is set to be announced on March 2 during a fifth anniversary live stream for Deep Rock Galactic.
