Understanding the mechanics of Life Regeneration in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor can be challenging, as it’s often unclear how much health your class can recover after sustaining damage. It depends on several different factors.
You can boost your health by using various artifacts and by harvesting Red Sugar, which is typically found multiple times throughout the map in any given sector. It looks like a large glowing red Gem stone.
How does Life Regenerate in Deep Rock Galactic Survivor?
Red Sugar doesn’t regenerate your health, it just replenishes it if you’ve been injured. It normally gives you between 15 - 25 hit points back per piece mined.
Life Regeneration is intricately tied to your current health status. Therefore, if your health is significantly depleted, regeneration will occur at a faster rate. In the same way, as the percentage of your current health increases, the rate of regeneration diminishes.
We determined the health regeneration rates to vary according to Class, contingent upon using the Delicious BLT Sandwich—unlocked upon achieving 300 Max HP—and employing the First Aid Kit artifacts sourced from the dropship:
- At 406/425 HP, the regeneration is 2 HP every 10 seconds.
- At 369/425 HP, the regeneration is 4 HP every 10 seconds.
- At 346/425 HP, the regeneration increases further to 6 HP every 10 seconds
Mining Red Sugar can boost your maximum hit points by 2 for each piece harvested, provided you’ve acquired the appropriate artifact, typically obtainable from a dropship. This strategy serves as an effective method to augment your health, allowing you to easily unlock the Delicious BLT Sandwich.
We will continue our analysis of Deep Rock Galactic Survivor and offer additional strategies to enhance your health and life regeneration.
