Deep Rock Galactic’s Yuletide 2023 Christmas Event has been officially announced, bringing with a new Snowglobe hat and bucketloads of holiday cheer. Between its start and end dates, we’ll also be able to complete our cosmetic item collection with exclusive drops from past years, while tracking down elusive elves across Hoxxes IV’s caves.
DRG’s Yuletide 2023 introduces the new limited-time Yearly Performance Bonus assignment, which rewards extra Performance Points, crafting resources, credits, and infused Matrix Cores as we complete its steps. In addition to that, it also grants the very transparent Snowglobe hat, allowing us to clearly see foes while looking rather festive.
Deep Rock Galactic Yuletide 2023 Christmas Event
Two additional assignments will be available during DRG’s Yuletide 2023 Christmas Event. Completing Fashion of Yuletide Past rewards cosmetic items from its past iterations, while finishing the Yuletide Elf Hunt assignment grants the Chillaxe set for our trusty pickaxe, the Yuletide Special Bosco framework for solo players, alongside the Elf suit armor and headwear set.
Assignments usually involve completing a chain of specific mission types, so we’ll simply need to play as we usually would while keeping track of where the appropriate missions spawn.
Some rewards are granted after completing each step, while others can only be unlocked by reaching the final stage.
Deep Rock Galactic’s Yuletide 2023 event has locked down its start date to December 14, 2023 at 4 AM PT/7 AM ET/12 PM GMT. Its end date is slated to occur on January 4, 2024 at the same hour, giving us precisely three weeks to earn the rewards mentioned above while keeping us company throughout the holidays.

DRG’s Yuletide 2023 event also sees us engaging in the traditional and completely cheery slaughter of Yuletide Elves, which can be found as we explore the caves of Hoxxes IV.
Happily filling them with hot lead grants a double XP bonus used to progress through Season 4’ battle pass.
The Space Rig is also getting a bit of a makeover, so we can expect plenty of “holiday lights, mistletoe, and lots of other cute decorations, like priceless glass ornaments.” Piles of snow can also be found around the Rig for the mandatory pre-mission snowball fight.
