Devil May Cry 5 is out now and already one of the year’s most acclaimed titles. The return of Capcom’s action series not only brings back a rather familiar structure, but also comes with several difficulty levels. Devil May Cry 5 Son of Sparda is one of those difficulty levels.
Here’s how you unlock the Son of Sparda mode in Devil May Cry 5.
How Do You Unlock the Son of Sparda Mode?
<p>
Devil May Cry 5 has two available diffculties going into the first playthrough. Human is the equivalent of an Easy diffculty, where monsters don’t pose that much of a challenge. Devil Hunter is close to a Normal mode in other games, bringing a fair degree of challenge, especially into the late game, while not being overly punishing.
In order to unlock the Son of Sparda Mode in Devil May Cry 5, you have two options. One is completing the story on Devil Hunter difficulty. Subsequent difficulties are unlocked in the same manner, by completing the story on the highest available diffculty.
Alternatively, you could also try defeating Urizen when you first encounter him in the Prologue, which unlocks both the Son of Sparda and Dante Must Die difficulties. Do keep in mind that, especially the first time you encounter Urizen, the fight is extremely challenging, as it’s meant to be one you lose in the actual story.
