As the almost decade-old Diablo 3 continues to receive post-launch support, even with Diablo 4 on the horizon, players who’ve yet to jump on board might be wondering about whether or not they can decimate Hell’s denizens through Xbox Game Pass or its PC counterpart.
The hack and slash RPG launched exclusively on PC until its third iteration which, quite successfully, broke those shackles and also arrived on consoles. Having Diablo 3 on Xbox Game Pass would open a convenient avenue for new players to be acquainted with the series before its next entry launches. Let’s see how things look at the moment.
Unfortunately, neither Diablo 3 nor its Reaper of Souls expansions are currently part of the extensive library of titles available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. This applies to both the subscription services’ PC and console variants.
If you plan on donning the mantle of Nephalem and stopping Diablo and Malthael, you’ll need to opt for a full purchase. Blizzard titles have yet to make their way to the Xbox Game Pass thus far and there are no signs that the company plans on moving in that direction any time soon.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that we won’t see a shift at some point in the future and we’ll update this article with any news about Diablo 3 coming to Xbox Game Pass as soon as we learn more.
