Diablo 4’s patch 1.1.1’s release date is slated to bring the first significant batch of changes following the launch of the Season of the Malignant, as part of Blizzard’s continued effort to respond to player feedback.
The final pre-season update introduced noticeable nerfs to player power, and Diablo 4’s patch 1.1.1 marks the first steps towards improving the feel of its classes. In addition, it also works towards addressing the need for more item storage space.
Diablo 4 Patch 1.1.1 Release Date
Diablo IV’s patch 1.1.1 was first brought up in July 21’s Campfire Chat, when the developer revealed that it is currently planned to launch “in a few weeks.”We later learned it was bound to come in August, only for July 28’s Campfire Chat locked down the release date to August 8. The full patch notes were shared on August 2.

In terms of content, Diablo IV’s patch 1.1.1 improves the Sorcerer and Barbarian’s legendary aspects “that aren’t being utilized very well right now,” according to the developer. We can expect a “wide range of legendary power and unique item improvements for these two classes in particular,” with the Sorceress being prioritized.
The Sorcerer’s late-game survivability is also getting buffed, while the Barbarian’s early-game fury generation will increase. In addition, Blizzard plans to make certain uniques more effective during late game.
Other classes also have changes coming their way, like the druid’s increased spirit generation and pet buffs, although they’ll be fewer this time around.
We’ll be able to purchase an additional stash tab for 400,000 gold, while the elixir stack size will be raised to 99.
On top of that, respec costs will be reduced by “about 40%,” making it easier to try out new builds as we level our seasonal characters.
Monster density will be “substantially increased in Nightmare Dungeons, as well as in Helltide.”
Dungeon and world bosses will have their health boosted in World Tier 3 and 4. To compensate for the higher difficulty, the former are guaranteed to drop a legendary item starting at level 35.
Legion Events are also getting a guaranteed legendary item drop when Diablo 4’s patch 1.1.1 release date comes around, as are Treasure Goblins starting as soon as level 15.
The leave dungeon time will be reverted back to 3 seconds. The developer explained that its rather puzzling increase was an inelegant attempt to make players less able to avoid tough encounters.
This was based on how Diablo 4’s teleports are currently only interrupted after taking a certain amount of damage, rather than on the first hit.
In addition, the Resource Drain, Cold Enchanted, and Backstabber affixes will be removed from Nightmare Dungeons.
Diablo IV’s patch 1.1.1’s release date should mark a first step towards setting the ARPG back on track, following its controversial preseason patch. For more on the game, here is what we know about when Season 2 might launch.
