As Diablo 4’s June launch approaches, Blizzard has confirmed that we will get one more chance to play the game prior to release during Server Slam, whose start and end dates have also been revealed alongside its rewards.
Diablo 4’s Server Slam weekend will be available on PC, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PS 5, and PS4, its main goal being that of testing the durability of the hack and slash RPG’s servers. |
Diablo 4 Server Slam Start and End Dates
Diablo IV’s Server Slam weekend has locked down its start date and time to May 12 at 12 AM PDT/3 PM ET/8 PM GMT. Its end date is set to occur on May 14 at 12 AM PDT/3 PM ET/8 PM GMT.
- Diablo IV Server Slam start date and time: May 12 at 12 AM PDT/3 PM ET/8 PM GMT
- Diablo IV Server Slam end date and time: May 14 at 12 AM PDT/3 PM ET/8 PM GMT
The game will be available for all interested players during this weekend without requiring any sort of purchase, so it’s a perfect opportunity to get a taste of how it plays before its full version arrives.
Much like in the prior beta tests, we’ll be able to play through the Prologue and Act I in its entirety, freely roaming across Fractured Peaks, the first playable Zone.
All five classes – Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer – will be selectable and you can reach level 20 with each of them.
Character progress from the prior beta tests will not carry over to Server Slam, just like the progress made during the event won’t carry over to the game’s full version.
The legendary item drop rate will reflect that of the launch version and the changes based on open beta feedback will be implemented.
Ashava, a massive world boss, will also spawn on May 13 starting at 9 AM PDT and every 3 hours thereafter.
Its final spawn is scheduled for May 14 at 9 AM PDT. Several players are required for this rather tough and lengthy battle.
Diablo IV’s Server Slam event brings back the open beta rewards while introducing a new one of its own for besting Ashava. Here is the full list:
Diablo IV Server Slam rewards
- Initial Casualty Title: earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character
- Early Voyager Title: earned by reaching Level 20 on one character
- Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic Item: earned by reaching Level 20 on one character

Early downloads for this build of the game will become available starting with May 10 at 12 AM PDT/3 PM ET/8 PM GMT.
If you’ve yet to delete the files from the previous open beta, it will automatically update to the new version as soon as it becomes available.
