Diablo Immortal is the first free-to-play entry in Blizzard’s long-running hack and slash RPG series. As a result – and due to being built primarily with mobiles in mind –, it handles economy a bit differently, making it safe to expect a good number of microtransactions when visiting its in-game store.
At launch, Diablo Immortal’s microtransactions don’t include any actual story content or game modes, which means that you’ll be able to access the entirety of the game as a free player. What you will find if you head to its in-game store is a mixture of currency, cosmetics, and materials that you can purchase using real-life money.
Diablo Immortal’s main premium currency is called Eternal Orbs. You’ll use it to purchase virtually everything else found on its store and, as is par for the course with mobile games, it’s available in a number of different bundles.
- 60 Eternal Orbs - 0.99€ or your regional equivalent
- 315 Eternal Orbs - 4.99€ or your regional equivalent
- 630 Eternal Orbs - 9.99€ or your regional equivalent
- 1650 Eternal Orbs - 24.99€ or your regional equivalent
- 3450 Eternal Orbs - 49.99€ or your regional equivalent
- 7200 Eternal Orbs - 99.99€ or your regional equivalent
Platinum is the game’s second currency, which you can use to trade items at the market and various specialty vendors you encounter as you adventure through Diablo Immortal’s world.
- 500 Platinum - 50 Eternal Orbs
- 5000 Platinum - 500 Eternal Orbs
- 50000 Platinum - 5000 Eternal Orbs
Diablo Immortal’s microtransactions also feature multiple cosmetic sets that change the look of your character’s armor, weapons, town portal, and avatar frame.
Those in the standard tier will set you back 1000 Eternal Orbs per set, while those in the Collector tier require you to pay 1500/1650 Eternal Orbs for each set.
The Materials tab features six different types of stones, going for 100 Eternal Orbs each. They allow you to change a bonus attribute on one of your items with that of their associated family, giving you more control over defining your build.
Eternal Legendary Crests count among the more important Diablo Immortal microtransactions, playing into its endgame. They’re used to add modifiers to Elder Rifts, guaranteeing three Runes as well as a powerful Legendary Gem from Rift Guardians.
Diablo Immortal’s microtransactions also include an Empowered Battle Pass which offers a mixture of items like Legendary Gems and cosmetics as you progress along its track.
The Boon of Plenty is a monthly subscription that grants additional daily rewards alongside an expanded inventory, remote access to the game’s market, as well as additional market trade slots.
Diablo Immortal’s microtransactions will likely evolve over time but. At launch, it seems that free players might only have to start considering paying during the endgame, which is expected of free-to-play titles and especially those on mobile.
