Diablo IV’s Lunar Awakening 2025 event is set to return this February, significantly buffing the power of shrines found across Sanctuary’s open zones and dungeons while promising a new host of rewards, cosmetic and otherwise.
Starting on February 4 at 10 AM PST/6 PM GMT, the event is slated to end on February 18, at 10 AM PST/6 PM GMT, giving us two weeks to claim all of its limited-time goodies. During this period, interacting with any shrine increases experience gains by 100% for two whole minutes while granting both an enhanced power, and large amounts of Ancestral Favor reputation.
Diablo IV’s Lunar Awakening 2025 Event
Over in the northern part of Ked Bardu, Ying-Yue, the leader of the Lunar Night Market, awaits, allowing us to claim rewards as we progress through the ten levels of the Ancestral Favor reputation track.
The appearance of the shrines found across Sanctuary has been updated to celebrate the start of the year of the snake. A unique map icon makes them easy to spot while you’re traveling around, while their augmented powers, available during Diablo IV’s Lunar Awakening 2025 event, grant the following effects:
- Artillery Shrine – Casts have a chance to summon a holy bomb.
- Blast Wave Shrine – Each explosion summons a cluster bombardment.
- Channeling Shrine- Increased attack speed and chance to reset cooldowns.
- Conduit Shrine – Summon frequent, powerful, shocking strikes.
- Greed Shrine – Chance to summon a Treasure Goblin. While the Shrine is active, kills summon a Treasure Goblin.
- Lethal Shrine – Chance to instantly execute a struck monster, causing Fear on surrounding monsters. Note: this includes Elites, but excludes Bosses and other Players.
- Protection Shrine – You reflect all incoming damage. Damage reflected scales with Level and Difficulty.
Furthermore, Miserly Spirits spawn as soon as you interact with a shrine, ensuring that their effects don’t go to waste.
The limited-time rewards we can earn by reaching certain Ancestral Favor levels include a Resplendent Spark – useful if you’re looking to craft specific powerful items – alongside six different Lunar-themed cosmetics, including the new Trag’Oul’s Consort mount.
After reaching level 10, we can continue receiving Unceasing Gifts from the Ancestors in exchange for Ancestral Favor. The grind never truly stops.
Diablo IV’s Lunar Awakening 2025 event also brings a set of exclusive armors to its premium store, including the Sorcerer’s Scholar of the Lonely Moon set, as well as the Dragon of the Lonely Moon armor for our mounts.
While the event ends on February 18, Season 7, which is currently live, will stick around for a while longer.
