Rebellion has released a Day 1 update for Atomfall, with some fixes and improvements to help players survive the nuclear quarantine zone.
The Day 1 patch for Atomfall features some general bug fixes and gameplay improvements, with some of the highlights including changes to the AI, user interface, and animations. With this patch, the game should hopefully work a lot smoother with the fixes found in the weeks up to release.
Atomfall Patch Notes - Day 1 Update
Here are the full Patch Notes for Atomfall’s Day 1 update:
Global
- Fixed an overlapping issue in subtitles, playstyle warning messages, and barter screens
- Fixed an issue where in some circumstance the AI would not escalate to combat
- Fixed an issue with NPCs (such as Molly, Joyce) getting hostile with you after attacking them once and conversing continuously with them during gameplay
- Fixed an issue where Throwable weapons could clip through the metal barricades
- Fixed an issue with Spits from ferals not generating a PFX, making it hard to see their trajectory
- Fixed issues where the alarm audio did not stop on exfil
- Fixed an issue where multiple characters could turn hostile when the player used tools nearby
- Saves from different game versions are now able to be loaded
- Improved how AI populates when loading an autosave
- Player ammo and trader material counts now appear correctly after bartering
- Fixed an issue where the outro fails to trigger after closing the backpack opened before the end of the conversation and after selecting the escape option during gameplay
- Fixed a cutoff issue in tooltip bar relating to some Russian characters in the menu
- Fixed where item name and description could remain on screen after picking item up in Backpack
- Fixed an issue where the ‘Save game time’ text appeared too long
- Added translations for landmines
- Updated text for Field Time User Setup and Field of View slider
Slatten Dales
- Improved the effect of the torch in shadowed areas of Slatten Dales
Wyndham Village
- Fixed an issue where the player failed to progress the quest ‘Sims wants me question Dr Garrow’ if they retrieved the information from Dr Garrow before receiving the quest
Casterfell Woods
- Reduced character clipping through the platform while getting down from the platform near wooden logs in Casterfell Woods
- Improved takedown animation when crouching
- Fixed a collision issue on the rock present near the broken building in the Old Watermill in Casterfell Woods
- Updated lighting to make it easier to find Mother Jago’s book in the castle
- Fixed progression issue when the player fails to progress through the quest on interacting with Mother Jago after picking up the Growth Serum and the book of Herbalism during the gameplay
- Fixed an issue with Druids and Mother Jago appearing hostile towards the player character on entering the Castle Ruins for exfil during gameplay if you antagonised them previously
Skethermoor
- Fixed a crash on PS4 which occurred when players idle in Skethermore for too long
Interchange
- Power on and power up sound in Radio Tower and Robotics Lab now fixed
Rebellion encourages players to continue sending in bug reports to help it improve the game experience.
Atomfall is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
